MEET THE DOCTORS

Phillip G. Trimble, DVM Owner (Colorado State University) Dr. Phil
is a graduate of Colorado State University. He inherited his love of animals from his father and prior BEVC owner, Dr.
Joe. He is proud of the state-of-the art care he is able to give his patients. He is dedicated to providing personalized
individual attention to all his clients. Starting with your first visit, he will build a lifetime relationship with
you and your pet!

When Dr. Phil is not at Broadway Estates Veterinary Clinic, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
One of his greatest passions is golfing, so you might catch him one afternoon on the back nine.

David Specht, DVM Owner (University of Florida)
Exotic Pets, that’s Dr. Dave! Dr. Dave is a graduate of the University of Florida. He has Degrees in
Wildlife Ecology as well as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Dave enjoyed working in a Florida Zoo treating lions, giraffes,
monkeys and alligators! However, snakes are his passion. Here in Colorado, he is very content in doctoring your
domestic pet, but he still keeps his eye out for that Exotic Critter. He believes that the health of your pet depends
on the trusting relationship you and your Veterinarian share.

Dr. Dave and his family just finished raising a pup for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), the dog is to be used as
a service dog for an individual with special needs. He enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, camping and biking.

Joanne L. Bigbee, DVM, a graduate of Michigan State University (GO SPARTANS!!), grew up coast to coast from
New Jersey and Boston to Los Angeles and has settled in between. Dr. Joanne entered into veterinary medicine because
she wanted a career that would be both challenging as well as fulfilling and include lots of furry faces. She has an interest
in neurology and orthopedic surgery. As a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, she also is interested
in the special needs of cats, recognizing that cats are not small dogs! She even studied veterinary medicine in Madras, India
during her vet school years.

In her spare time, Dr. Joanne loves the mountains and has recently started skiing the black diamond runs. She is currently
training for an Olympic distance triathlon, the infamous “Boulder Peak”. She also enjoys reading fiction, practicing
yoga, and spending time with her lynx tabby, California.

Gina Cleaves, DVM is originally from Western Washington. She attended veterinary school at Washington
State University and graduated in 2002. Dr. Cleaves practiced in the Seattle area before moving to Colorado in the fall
of 2006. Dr. Cleaves chose a career in veterinary medicine in order to combine her love of animals and science, and
she enjoys the daily challenges and rewards that the profession offers. Her areas of interest include soft tissue surgery
and internal medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Cleaves enjoys reading, shopping, snowboarding and spending time exploring Colorado. Dr. Cleaves
has a Jack Russell Terrier named Wyatt and 4 cats; Stella, Stan, Arlo and Fern.

Alison Bokas, DVM is a graduate of Michigan State University (GO SPARTANS!!). She grew up in Veterinary
Medicine for her father is also a Veterinarian. Dr. Bokas looks forward to creating a relationship with you and you furry
family members. She has special interests in soft tissue surgery and also enjoys internal medicine.

In her spare time, Dr. Bokas enjoys exploring the Colorado Mountains and looks forward to Winter to snow ski.
She also has fun hiking, camping, biking and jeeping.

Elise K. Kish, DVM, is a graduate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia, “GO DAWGS!”
Dr. Kish comes from a family of veterinarians including her grandfather, her grandfather’s brother, and three cousins.
She began practicing in the year 2000 with particular interest in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and feline medicine.
Dr. Kish provides each client with personalized, individual attention and ensures that you are a well-informed partner in
your pet’s care. When Dr. Kish is not at BEVC, she enjoys spending time with her family, their canine Daisy and two
cats, Percy & Cyrus.
